“Waste Free Khatgal” campaign has successfully completed

EcoDevshilt NGO has organized “Waste Free Khatgal” campaign for the last 3 weeks. As part of the campaign 250 families had been reached and encouraged to attend a “What is Waste” training. Active participant families have competed in a question and answer “Guest with Money” competition, answering waste related questions and challenged their knowledge about the littering, separating waste and reducing waste at source.
Also, we have worked together with 30 supermarkets, grocery stores of Khatgal village and collected 377kg waste during 1 month of time and doing a study on the waste as to separate in detail to collect data and use it for the further operation on our waste management project.
513 students of Khatgal Secondary school have participated in the Waste Free Khatgal campaign and collected plastic bottles, plastic bags, gas bottle and can. Total recyclable waste that has been collected by the students have reached more than 277 kg and the most active classes had been rewarded.
