One of the main stakeholders of our Conservation of ecosystem services through waste management in Hovsgol Lake National park project is the tourist camps operating on the western shore of the lake. We are working to implement waste management in a total of 50 tourist camps. As part of this, we have initiated the Green Star program and have covered 11 tourist camps in the first round. The program will rate the eco-activity of the camps and approve them with one, two or three stars
General requirements
a. Must be a member organization of Hovsgol Tourism Association and must have paid one year’s fee for one green star level.
b. They must have bins and structures that are marked and marked with different colors to classify the dry waste generated on their property into 7 types.
c. Have an eco-sanitary facility.
d. All employees must attend the waste and environmental protection training.
e. According to the training, the waste should be sorted, shipped, and dropped off at the project’s waste management center.
f. Placing information boards and printed materials promoting projects and association activities at camp information points and electronic media

IV. Human resources 14-day intensive training for local students with a positive attitude and initiative to work in tourist camps in the summer.
V. Media Placement and promotion of Eco-tourism in integrated platforms of tourism services.
As the camps organize their activities to become ECO, they will be supported by EcoDevshilt NGO and the Hovsgol Tourism Association to provide regular professional training services, increase their workforce, and publicize their activities through mass media and portal channels.
By meeting the following general requirements, you will be eligible for the Green Star program, and as camps continue to improve their eco-activities, the star rating will increase and the scope of project support will increase.
