Project Kickoff Conference 2025 – Khuvsgul Lake


EcoDevshilt NGO successfully implemented the project “Conservation of Ecosystem through Waste Management in Khuvsgul National Park, Northern Mongolia” from 2020 to 2024. Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Global Nature Fund, and the Ecoleap Foundation, the project established a sustainable waste management system, raised awareness of environmental conservation at local and regional levels, and took responsibility for managing unregulated waste. During the conference, the project’s outcomes and final report were presented to the local community.


Additionally, an introduction was given to the upcoming project, “UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Khuvsgul Lake – Income Generation for Nomadic Herding Communities through Sustainable Tourism,” set to be implemented from 2024 to 2028. An open discussion was held regarding the planned activities within the project’s scope.
